Integrating Spiritual Practice and Daily Life

“When you practice half an hour of meditation ... it [is] for the benefit of the whole day.
We must practice in a way that removes the barrier between practice and nonpractice.”

—Thich Nhat Hanh

This weekly meditation group is intended to support our individual practice and meditation during the week, to deepen our spiritual awareness, and to help transform our relationships with the people and circumstances in our everyday life. Over the year, we will experience practices that foster equanimity, compassion, and deep understanding.

Each session includes context and instruction, ample practice time, and opportunities to share and learn from one another as we discover the integration of our practice into our daily lives. All levels of experience are welcome.

Spiritual Literacy

From a collage of wisdom from the world's religions and from spiritual teachers of all eras, authors Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat created "an alphabet of spiritual literacy" that we will draw on each session, learning to read the sacred in everyday life.

In this contemplative weekly gathering, you are invited to join others who have found that Spirit is found in the ordinary and the everyday "… for when we are spiritually literate, we discover that the whole world is charged with sacred meaning." Each session, we will learn about and reflect on a specific spiritual practice, and we will observe silence for meditation, reflection, and journaling.
